Style catch up: July.

Pencil, skater, mini, midi, striped, pastel, sheer, pleated, asymmetric! July was definitely the month of skirts! And with all that exposure, I know my legs could have used more sun tan. But I'll have enough time to make up for it in August.

Anyway, the July recap is on the blog today. Click on the link under each picture to see the original post and scroll over these shopping recommendations that are similar to the style I was wearing. And let me know what is your favorite look in the comments below!

Brand love: Macadamia Natural Oil.

Photos by me.

With my hair being stuck between the two visits to the hairdresser and constantly exposed to the sun and sea salt, there is no other brand I could think of dedicating a post to at the moment. Macadamia Natural Oil offers a line of professional hair care products based on an exclusive pro-oil complex of macadamia and argan - two valuable and natural oils proven to help rejuvenate hair and maintain health and shine. And I can honestly say I see and feel the benefits of both oils; as my hair gets nourished and repaired from inside out, rather than just conditioned from the surface. Today I'm sharing the products I have been using the most lately, all of which I would happily recommend to you in case you are still not familiar with the brand. See their entire range of products here.

Flawless Cleansing Conditioner (get it here). This all-in-one product is the latest addition to my hair care and although I haven't been using it as much as the others, I still think it's a very intriguing and recommendation-worthy. So what is that makes this cleanser so special? Well, it is unique product that claims to cleanse, condition, reduce drying time, detangle, enhance volume and eliminate frizz. It has a creamy mousse consistency that you apply to your wet hair from the scalp to the ends, leave it for a couple of minutes and rinse. You will not be needing any conditioning or detangling products afterwards as your hair will feel smooth, silky and manageable. All in all, I think it is a great solution to alternate my regular shampoo and conditioner every once in a while, and I will definitely try to get a more use from in the future.

Deep Repair Masque (here). If you have dry or damaged hair, or you're just on a look out for a very intensive hair mask then this is the one you'd be reaching for. My hair tends to get very dry because of my highlights so the combination of macadamia, argan, tea tree and aloe oils from this mask bring back the health and the shine. I use it once a week and leave it around seven minutes as recommended, but I have to admit that what I love even more than its long lasting benefits is its - scent. Oh my - so clean, fresh and zesty! It fills up my entire bathroom and lasts on my hair, towel and clothes.

No Tangle Pre-styler (available here). Brushing and detangling wet hair is always such a fuss for both you and your hair, but this moisturizing product does eliminate tangles without breakage or damage. It works perfectly with the Healing Oil Infused Comb (show on the photo above, available here) or, my favorite, No Tangle Brush (here). I haven't been reaching out for it a lot lately, but it is the perfect choice when my hair just gets highlighted.

Healing Oil Treatment (get it here). This little bottle became a staple in my hair care routine, as a few drops applied into my towel dried hair infuse shine and help manageability. While feeling weightless and not looking greasy, just to mention! And since it also includes a natural UV protection it has became a part of my beach bag too - I love applying it to my hair ends as it not only protects and nourishes them while they are being exposed to the sun and the sea, but help them look neat too. But once I finish this bottle, I will be replacing it with a spray version one, as it is more practical and allows the oil to be evenly distributed onto my hair.

Have you tried anything from the Macadamia Natural Oil collection? Like always, I'm looking forward to your thoughts and recommendations in the comments below. And if you liked my picks then you can shop them here:

I heart.

1. Caudalie Beauty Elixir. If there is one product my face is thanking me for this summer, it is the Caudalie's most raved face mist. Actually, I have been using it all the year around, but mostly as a morning toner right after cleansing and before applying my moisturizer. But ever since summer heat and humidity started taking their toll on my skin and my make up, the refreshing blend of ingredients such as the grapes, orange blossom and organic balm mint immediately came to the rescue - working perfectly as a toner, serum, midday refresher, make up setter and travel companion.

2. L'Occitane Volumising Shampoo & Conditioner. Although my hair needs ultra-nourishing and repairing macadamia and argan based shampoos, every now and then she doesn't mind gentle and lightweight ones that will leave her perfectly cleansed, refreshed and volumised. And ever since I've tried the sample, I knew L'Occitane volumising line will be the perfect choice for couple of reasons. First, it is the silicone-free formula with vegetable-origin complex and essential oils. Next, it perfectly cleanses all the residues on my hair, leaves her vivid and volumised while still looking smooth and silky. And last but not least, it has a very aromatic herbal fragrance - its fresh minty overtones are just perfect for the summer.

3. Bourjois 1 Seconde Mascara. I get along very well with Bourjois' mascaras, so I knew I had to try their latest addition to the range. Not only did I try, but my short and volume-needing eyelashes loved it! I do see a volume when applying one coat just as the name of the product promises, but I always love adding couple of more coats for more length, thickness and intensity. Plus, the sleek silver packaging with bright coral branding makes it stand out in make up bag filled with my summer must haves. As it certainly is a must have!

Wednesday wishlist: little black jumpsuit.

The little black jumpsuit is the new little black dress. Why? 1. Putting together an outfit with a jumpsuit takes faster than saying "putting together an outfit with a jumpsuit". No need to think about matching separates and colors, adding your favorite accessories is all the effort you will need. 2. From flattering V-necks, cap sleeves, cutouts, lace or mesh inserts to pockets - all these little details have been thoughtfully added to make a jumpsuit everything but the plain and boring one-piece
3. Blazer and a pair of flats for the office? Gladiators for a casual and comfortable day look? Gold jewellery and high heels for evening cocktails? Jumpsuits work perfectly paired with all the above.

Are you jumping in jumpsuits this summer? Whether you go for short and sweet romper or prefer the elegance of long jumpsuit, make sure it is the one that fits you perfectly. So check out the shopping links below for a little inspiration:

I heart.

1. Stradivarius heels: Black - checked, sleek - checked, incredibly comfortable - checked. My latest Stradivarius buy tick all the boxes. And although I have a tendency to say that for every new pair of high heel sandals I buy, these are without a doubt my absolute favorite ones.

2. Metallic gold clutch: Give me anything gold metallic and I will be happy. Almost perfectly matching my Aldo sandals (seen here), this trendy clutch is a perfect size to hold all my necessities for a summer night out.

3. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. Mentioned in my Nuxe products post a while ago, Huile Prodigieuse still holds the top place among my favorite beauty oils. Incredibly luxurious and nourishing, and smelling wonderfully at the same time, it's a multi purpose product for your body, hair and face.

Black, gold, metallic - it's easy to see the theme here. And what have you been loving lately?

Crush on skirts.

Sheer (see my look here). Summer is all about showing off some skin and putting these tanned legs in the center of attention. But if you prefer to still leave something to the imagination, then I'm sure you would go for sheer. Sheer skirts are both covering and revealing at the same time and they make a perfect balance between saucy and sophisticated. Plus, they are incredibly breezy and beautiful. My advice? Skirts with sheer hemlines, as they provide the length of a midi or maxi with the coverage of a shorter skirt.

Tulle (my look here). Thank you, Carrie Bradshaw. If it weren't for you, we'd probably think pastel tulle skirts are not fashionably acceptable after the age of six. We'd probably never be able to feel so feminine and girly while wearing them. And incredibly chic if pairing them with some killer heels and a leather jacket.

Mesh (I wore it here). What is mesh exactly? A very very trendy, athletic inspired material made of network of wire. Truth to be told, it did have a bad reputation when it first appeared in the 80's, but this season it's cool and urban and transforms any outfit to off-duty chic in a second. So how to wear a mesh skirt? Mesh looks best in white and black and works great paired with massive accessories. Pair the skirt with sneakers for a total sporty luxe or go for high heels for the ultimate athletic sophistication.

Boohoo Asymmetric Color Block Midi Skirt / Boohoo Floral & Monochrome Skuba Midi Skirt

Pencil (see how I wore it here). If you search for a feminine, chic and elegant skirt then look no further, because pencil skirts flatter every frame and shape. And rest assured that, besides being an officewear staple, they became an essential piece of streetwear too. Go for bold printed skirts if you want to add an illusion of curves, or stick to solid color or monochromes with strategically placed panels if you prefer to keep the silhouette slim.

Stripes (see my look here). Let's take a moment to appreciate the invention of black and white stripes. Sometimes thin and sometimes thick, but always horizontal - they are a print that will always make you stand out in a crowd, but in a good, effortless and chic way. And my perfect choice for the summer? Striped skater skirts, because they make an illusion of extra height, they elongate your legs and accentuate the waist.

As you can see from my recent looks, I have been loving many of trendy summer skirts but maybe
the midi length ones just a little bit more. And what style (or styles) are you going for this summer?
