Repeat offender.

In my defense, it is still officially winter so it is still appropriate to discuss some of this season's fashion must haves. The art of layering garments was both the skill and a necessity during colder months, and the very trendy blanket scarves were the easiest way to stay bundled up and fashionable at the same time. The one that stood out in the mass of colors, prints and patterns was this checked print scarf from - you guessed it - Zara. Not only it has been seen for about million times on the street style photos, but it was quite an often accessory on my blog too.

As you will be able to see from some of my looks below, it has worked just right in both casual outfits and more chic looks with court shoes and smart trousers. And should I just mention all the ways it can be worn: effortlessly thrown over the shoulders, wrapped like a blanket (hence the name), tied up around the neck or, my favorite, belted. The key was just the right play with proportions. Pairing this scarf or any other blanket scarf with anything wide or fluid down below would have wash out your entire figure. It was better to keep the bottom of the outfit simple with a pair of skinny jeans or a pencil skirts, and let the scarf be the focus of the outfit.

Although we might be soon replacing them with spring-appropriate lightweight scarves and echarpes,
blanket scarves will always hold a special place in our closet and in our heart. There is just something so
comforting about them, right? So how did you like wearing them the most?
