Style lessons: fringes.

I remember fringes detailing on sweaters and skirts caught my attention back in the fall: I did think they looked cool, but as I was not into that mood at the time I passed them. Luckily for me, fringes have not only stayed until spring but they are now bigger than ever and - everywhere!

Fringing might seem like a trickier trend to pull off but you would be surprised to see how well it works on just about anything: from coats, jackets and sweaters, to accessories such as handbags and shoes. The most surprising is how they have found their way to more formal type of clothing such as chic pencil skirts and cocktail dresses. So if you have been intrigued by all these fringing, but you still fear of looking like you came straight from a western movie, then here are couple of guidelines:

- Less is more. Stick to just one fringe piece in your outfit as it will make just enough of a statement on its own.
- Black and white ensembles are just the most perfect base - you want to allow the fringe detailing to stand out in an understated way, don't you?
- If you have any issues with your figure, keep in mind that fringes do have the tendency to widen it. You would probably want to stick to fringe detailing rather than a full piece - yet again, rule number one never seem to fail.
- Going for fringing bag is the quickest way to incorporate this trend in your everyday style. Depending on your mood your fringes can be subtle and small or seriously long and eccentric; and depending on your style you can have them on more elegant clutches to more practical cross body messenger and bucket bags.
- On the other hand, going for fringed skirt or a dress with a fringe bottom is the most fashionable way, according to the street style. With this piece you will make your look both edgy and ladylike. Just remember, these fringes will sway a lot as you move and will not pass unnoticeable. Are you ready for the attention?
- If you are rather not, then I say go for fringe accessory such as earrings, statement necklace or a scarf. It will give more subtle touch, but still stay on target.

A fringed bag is probably where to start, your fringe can be subtle and small or it can be long enough to plait and drag on the floor. Whatever bag you choose, this trend is flexible. - See more at: http://www.writeontrend.com/fringe-benefits/#sthash.s88UYg1L.dpuf
